What's On in Sheffield

CLUBLAND Halloween x Sheffield x Daytime Rave! — Why wait until midnight? FORGE kicks off the Halloween festivities at 1:30pm with a full-on daytime rave that sets the tone for the whole city. Expect a dancefloor already heaving before the sun goes down, with a crowd that came dressed to impress and ready to go hard from the first drop. At £20–£22 it is exceptional value for an afternoon that will blur very pleasantly into evening.

Trainspotting The Musical — One of the most audacious theatrical adaptations in recent memory rolls into Sheffield City Hall Oval Hall for two performances — 2:30pm and 7:30pm — bringing Irvine Welsh's visceral, darkly funny world to the stage in full musical form. If you want to make an occasion of it, the Arches Bar Experience package wraps drinks and atmosphere around the show in a way that feels almost dangerously fitting for Halloween night. Check the website for pricing, but do it soon — this one will not hang around.

Sheffield Community Choir - Lift Your Voice Concert — Tucked inside the beautiful Upper Chapel at 6:45pm, this is the quiet heartbeat of the city's Halloween — a reminder that not everything spooky needs a strobe light. The Sheffield Community Choir brings together voices from all walks of life for a concert that tends to leave audiences genuinely moved. At £10–£15, it is one of the most human and uplifting things you can do on a Saturday night.

LENE LOVICH UK 2026 TOUR — A true icon of post-punk and new wave, Lene Lovich takes the stage at Corporation at 6:00pm, and the timing on Halloween feels like the universe showing off. Her theatrical, otherworldly energy has always belonged to this night, and seeing her perform live in one of Sheffield's most beloved rock venues is the kind of experience that stays with you for years. Check the website for tickets — and go.

Steelers v Panthers — If Halloween on ice sounds like your idea of a perfect Saturday night, Utilita Arena Sheffield delivers exactly that as the Steelers face the Panthers at 7:00pm. Ice hockey at its best is fast, physical, and genuinely thrilling even for first-timers, and the atmosphere inside the arena on a big match night is something else entirely. Check the website for tickets and bring the loudest costume you own.

Ride The Underground: Halloween Lockdown Spooktacular — For a fiver, Panke Sheffield opens its doors at 10:00pm for an underground Halloween party that strips everything back to what matters: the music, the dark, and the people who know. This is the late-night option for those who want something with genuine edge rather than novelty, and at £5 entry there is absolutely no reason to talk yourself out of it. Arrive in something spooky and let the bassline do the rest.
