What's On in Edinburgh
Saturday 07 November 2026 · This weekend · City guide
Edinburgh is pulling out all the stops this Saturday, stacking a day that hurtles from afternoon brunches and rugby roars to late-night rave warehouses and comedy pub lock-ins. Whether you are wrapping a scarf around your neck for Murrayfield or lacing up your dancing shoes for something altogether more underground, the city has a version of Saturday that was made precisely for you. Buckle up.
Highlights

Nations Championship 2026: Scotland V New Zealand — This is the one that will have Edinburgh vibrating at its foundations. Scotland host the mighty All Blacks at Scottish Gas Murrayfield at 2:10pm in what promises to be one of the most electric international fixtures the city has seen in years. Check the website for tickets, get there early, and prepare for a noise that you will feel in your chest long after the final whistle.

Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical — Fresh from setting London alight, this wildly inventive, darkly funny musical about one of World War Two's most audacious deceptions lands at the glorious Kings Theatre Edinburgh, with both a 2:30pm matinee and a 7:30pm evening performance to choose from. Based on the true story of a brilliantly absurd British spy plot, it is the kind of show that makes you wonder how musical theatre can be this clever and this joyful at the same time. Check the website for availability — do not sleep on this one.

Calton Consort: Twenty-Five — To mark their twenty-fifth anniversary, the Calton Consort bring a very special evening of choral and early music to the magnificent Canongate Kirk at 5:00pm, right in the heart of the Royal Mile. There are few more atmospheric settings in the whole of Scotland for this kind of intimate, candlelit musical celebration, and at £30 it is an evening that will stay with you. Treat yourself, or bring someone who deserves a beautiful night out.

ELVANA: ELVIS FRONTED NIRVANA - EDINBURGH - CORN EXCHANGE — Yes, you read that correctly, and yes, it is every bit as magnificently unhinged as it sounds. Elvana takes the catalogue of Nirvana and performs it entirely in the style of the King himself, delivering Smells Like Teen Spirit in a rhinestone jumpsuit with enough swagger to power the whole of Leith. Doors open at 7:00pm at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange, and this is the kind of night that generates stories you will still be telling in a decade. Check the website for tickets.

The Complete stone Roses - Edinburgh — If you spent any part of your life with The Stone Roses soundtracking your weekends, tonight at the Liquid Room Edinburgh is going to feel like a glorious homecoming. This celebrated tribute act captures the baggy, sun-soaked swagger of Fools Gold and I Wanna Be Adored with genuine reverence and serious musicianship. Kick-off is 7:00pm and tickets run from £10 to £15 — frankly one of the best-value live music propositions in the city tonight.

Nightvision Presents: Daria Kolosova // Edinburgh — When the clock tips past midnight and the rest of the city is winding down, the Liquidroom Warehouse is only just getting started. Nightvision brings Berlin-based techno force Daria Kolosova to Edinburgh for a night of relentless, immersive electronic music from 10:00pm, in one of the finest club spaces in the country. Tickets are £18 to £25, and this is the kind of booking that serious dance music fans mark in their calendars months in advance.
