Tuesday night in Leeds refuses to be quiet. From bruising Portuguese black metal to a comedian who might name you as a traitor, and a late-night house session that kicks off just as the others are winding down, the city is stacking a full deck of reasons to leave the sofa behind. Whatever your Tuesday looks like, there is a room in this city with your name on it.

Highlights

Gaerea — Brudenell Social Club has hosted some of the finest underground acts in the country, and Gaerea — the masked Portuguese black metal outfit known for their visceral, almost ritualistic live performances — are the kind of band who make that stage feel mythic. Expect waves of tremolo, thunderous drums, and an atmosphere thick with intensity from 7:00pm. Check the website for ticket prices, because this is one you will genuinely regret missing.

Reuben Solo: Someone in This Crowd Will Betray Me [Revenge Edition] — The title alone should tell you everything you need to know: this is not a gentle evening of observational comedy. Reuben Solo brings his sharp, confrontational, and brilliantly unhinged show to The Wardrobe in two sittings — 7:00pm and 9:00pm — and the Revenge Edition promises something even more charged than before. At £18 a ticket, it is a steal for what sounds like the most delightfully paranoid night out in Leeds this week.

King King — Blues-rock royalty King King return to the beloved Brudenell Social Club at 7:30pm, bringing the kind of soulful, riff-heavy sound that fills a room with warmth and sends shivers down your spine in equal measure. If you have never seen them live, their reputation for incendiary guitar work and powerhouse vocals precedes them enormously. Check the website for tickets — this is the sort of gig that sells itself on word of mouth alone.

Faulty Towers The Dining Experience @ Birstall — Head out to the gorgeous surroundings of Oakwell Hall Country Park for an immersive dining experience that turns the chaos of Fawlty Towers into a three-course meal — and you are right in the middle of it. Starting at 7:30pm, expect Basil to bluster, Sybil to sigh, and Manuel to catastrophically misunderstand everything while you try to eat your dinner without choking with laughter. Check the website for pricing and booking, and prepare to have absolutely no control over your evening.

DVOTION Returners: SZN 005 @ The Warehouse Leeds — When the rest of the city is winding down, The Warehouse is just getting started. DVOTION Returners rolls into its fifth season at 10:00pm, promising the deep, devotional house and electronic sounds that have made this night a firm fixture for Leeds clubbers in the know. At just £8–£10 on the door, it is one of the most accessible ways to lose yourself on a Tuesday night — and trust us, you will not be the only one.
