Newcastle is pulling out all the stops this Saturday, stacking a full day of music, laughs, and late-night dancing from lunchtime right through to the small hours. Whether you want to shimmy through a sun-soaked afternoon disco, lose yourself in a proper indie singalong, or chase the bass into the early hours, the city has got you thoroughly covered. Get your dancing shoes on — this one runs all day.

Highlights

Love Train (DJ Set) - Day Time Disco with Brutus Gold — Kick your Saturday off in the best possible style at The Cluny, where Brutus Gold takes the decks for a gloriously feel-good daytime disco from 12:30pm. This is the kind of afternoon that turns strangers into friends on the dancefloor, all sunshine and soul before the city has even had its second coffee. Check the website for ticket details — then get yourself there early.

DIGITAL Presents: Tania Vulcano, Inland Knights, Bobby Odonnell — The Ouseburn Garden transforms into an open-air house music haven from 2:00pm, with Ibiza legend Tania Vulcano headlining alongside the reliably brilliant Inland Knights and Bobby Odonnell. DIGITAL has long been one of Newcastle's most respected club nights, and this outdoor daytime edition feels like a proper event — warm rhythms, quality selectors, and that rare atmosphere where everyone in the crowd really knows their music. Tickets are £10–£21, and this one is worth every penny.

An Afternoon of Indie: NEWCASTLE (over 30s), 3pm-7pm — For everyone who grew up on Oasis, Blur, and Arctic Monkeys and has absolutely no intention of apologising for it, TheCUT above Tup Tup Palace is the place to be from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. This is indie done properly — no irony, no nostalgia fatigue, just four hours of brilliant guitar music for a crowd old enough to remember buying the singles. At just £10, it might be the best value Saturday afternoon in the city.

The Surfrajettes — This Montreal trio bring their reverb-drenched, surf-guitar spectacle to The Grove Newcastle at 7:00pm, and if you have never seen them before, prepare to be genuinely dazzled. The Surfrajettes have built a cult following across Europe with their tight, cinematic instrumentals and an on-stage energy that belongs in a 1960s beach movie — except sharper, louder, and completely thrilling. Tickets are £20 and this is the kind of gig people talk about for months afterwards.

Tom Davis: Spudgun — The Tyne Theatre plays host to Tom Davis and his wildly acclaimed stand-up show Spudgun from 7:30pm, and if you need a night that is pure, unfiltered comedy rather than another dancefloor, this is your answer. Davis is one of the most inventive comic performers working in Britain right now, and a grand old venue like the Tyne Theatre gives the whole evening a proper sense of occasion. Check the website for tickets — and go in knowing nothing, because surprises are part of the fun.

Infusion presents Ranger Trucco & Danny Snowden — When the rest of the city is winding down, World Headquarters is just getting started — Infusion brings Ranger Trucco and Danny Snowden to one of Newcastle's most beloved underground club spaces from 11:00pm. This is serious, considered dance music in a room that has been doing it right for decades, with a crowd that turns up because they genuinely love this stuff. Tickets are £10–£19, and if you make it through the whole day and finish here, you will have lived a Saturday to remember.
