Sunday 20 September 2026 is one of those days when Liverpool feels like it has been specifically designed to make you happy. From a morning of free family fun at Blackstock Market right through to a late-night citywide crawl, the city is throwing open its doors — and its stages, screens, and comedy clubs — for absolutely everyone. Pull on your jacket and get out there.

Highlights

Free Family Funday at Blackstock Market — Kick off the day at Blackstock Market's Free Family Funday, where the whole precinct comes alive with activities, atmosphere, and the kind of relaxed Sunday-morning energy that makes Liverpool so loveable. It is free to attend and gets going from 10:00am, making it the perfect gentle launchpad for a big day out. Pack the kids, grab a coffee, and let the weekend stretch out in front of you.

Echo & the Bunnymen: Album Launch Show — This is genuinely one for the ages — Ian McCulloch and Echo and the Bunnymen unveiling a brand new album on their home turf at Camp and Furnace, one of the most atmospheric venues in the north of England. A 7:00pm start in that vast, industrial space feels tailor-made for the band's sweeping, cinematic sound, and the energy of a true album launch night is something you rarely get to witness. Tickets are £22–£43 and this one will sell — do not sit on it.

Weller Day 2026 - A Celebration of The Jam at The Cavern Club — The Cavern Club hosting a full celebration of The Jam is almost too perfect — a venue steeped in the spirit of British guitar music paying tribute to one of its most vital chapters, starting at 2:00pm for just £15. Expect the walls to rattle with Down in the Tube Station at Midnight and Going Underground played with genuine conviction, all in that iconic low-ceilinged room. Whether you lived through the original era or discovered the records later, this is a proper afternoon.

Bournemouth V Liverpool: Premier League Screening — Boxpark Liverpool turns into a wall-to-wall red celebration — or nervous tension, depending on how the game goes — when the Reds' Premier League clash with Bournemouth is screened live from 2:00pm. Entry is just £0–£5, the atmosphere will be enormous, and the setting at Boxpark makes it feel more like a festival than a sports bar. Arrive early and get a good spot.

Little Laughs - LIVE! — Hot Water Comedy Club's Little Laughs slot at 1:00pm is designed specifically for younger audiences, bringing live stand-up into a world that children can actually enjoy — and parents can sit through without quietly dying inside. Tickets are between free and £5, so it is an easy, low-risk addition to a family day out at Blackstock Market. Laughing together in a real comedy club is a small but genuinely joyful thing.

Big Condo Records Presents EMZz - Thin Single Launch Party — For something more intimate and new, head to the Kazimier Stockroom at 6:00pm for EMZz's Thin single launch under the Big Condo Records banner — a chance to be in the room for an artist's moment, at a venue that has a long history of making Liverpool nights feel special. Tickets are £10 and the Stockroom's warm, close-quarters energy means every launch party here has a real electricity about it. This is the kind of gig you will tell people you saw early.
