What's On in Cardiff
Thursday 29 October 2026 · This weekend · City guide
Cardiff might be deep in the grip of autumn by the time Thursday 29 October rolls around, but there is nothing dark or dreary about what the city has lined up. One of Britain's sharpest political satirists is rolling into town, and if you have been quietly seething at the state of the world lately, tonight feels like exactly the release valve you need.
Highlights
Jonathan Pie: The End Of The World According To Jonathan Pie — The fictitious yet furiously believable TV reporter Jonathan Pie brings his latest tour to the New Theatre Cardiff at 7:30pm, and if the title alone does not make you want to clear your evening, consider this: few performers alive can make you howl with laughter and quietly despair about civilisation in the same breath. Expect the kind of ranting, raging, brilliantly constructed comedy that feels less like stand-up and more like a pressure valve being released on behalf of the entire nation. Tickets are available via the website, so check prices and grab yours before the end of the world beats you to it.
