What's On in Bristol
Friday 25 September 2026 · This weekend · City guide
Bristol is doing what Bristol does best this Friday — throwing open its doors to an extraordinary spread of sounds, laughs, and late-night revelry that somehow manages to feel both effortlessly cool and warmly welcoming. From candid comedy and soulful R&B to grime legends and drum and bass that costs next to nothing, the city is alive with possibility from the early evening right through to the small hours. Wherever you end up, you are going to be glad you left the house.
Highlights

10 Years of 6LACK Tour — A decade of the Atlanta singer-songwriter's deeply felt, genre-blurring R&B deserves a proper celebration, and Bristol's O2 Academy is the place to mark it. Expect an emotionally charged set from an artist who has spent ten years writing songs that feel like they were written specifically for you — the kind of night that stays with you long after the lights come up. Doors at 7:00pm; check the website for ticket availability.

Jazz Emu - The Pleasure Is All Yours — Jazz Emu is one of the most delightfully absurd live acts around — part comedian, part musician, entirely his own invention — and The Lantern at Bristol Beacon is the perfect intimate setting for his brand of gloriously odd brilliance. If you have never seen him perform, this is the kind of show people talk about for years; if you have, you already know you need to be there. Starts at 8:00pm; check the website for tickets.

Devlin - Bristol — One of British rap's most respected and consistently underrated voices, Devlin brings his sharp lyricism and raw intensity to Electric Bristol from 6:30pm. With a career built on unflinching storytelling and a devoted following who hang on every bar, this is a live show with real weight to it — the kind where the crowd knows every word and the energy in the room is palpable. Tickets from £16.

ACCESS: Drum & Bass Free Rave — Lakota is one of the greatest clubs in the country for bass music, and this free-entry drum and bass night is one of those only-in-Bristol moments where the city's legendary club culture is genuinely accessible to everyone. Kicking off at 10:00pm, it costs nothing to get in — or up to £5 if you choose to contribute — which means there is absolutely no excuse not to experience proper, full-fat drum and bass in a venue built for exactly this purpose.

10 Years of NM: Sir Spyro B2B Plastician, Footsie, + More — This is a genuine landmark night for grime heads — Sir Spyro and Plastician going back-to-back is the kind of billing that makes you feel lucky to be in the city on the right night, and Footsie on the same lineup only adds to the occasion. Clock Factory Bristol has the bones of a great warehouse party, and at £5–£12 for a decade-anniversary celebration of this quality, it is one of the best-value tickets in the country right now. Doors at 10:00pm.

Document Opening Party: Joss Dean, bullet tooth, Kepler ++ — DOCUMENT Bristol launches its new season with a proper opening party featuring Joss Dean, bullet tooth, and Kepler — a lineup that signals serious intent from a venue with a reputation for curating electronic music with care and conviction. From 6:00pm this is the place for those who want their Friday to start with atmosphere and end somewhere you will struggle to explain to anyone who was not there. Tickets £19–£30.
