What's On in Brighton
Friday 26 June 2026
Brighton is pulling out all the stops this Friday, with a city-wide sprawl of live music, late-night dancing, seaside revelry, and everything in between. From a sun-drenched terrace disco to hypnotic classical sounds in a candlelit church, the sheer range of what's on offer tonight is enough to make you wish you could clone yourself. Wherever you end up, this is one of those Fridays that reminds you exactly why this city is like nowhere else.
Highlights

Disco On The Terrace — Kick off your Friday evening in the best possible way — outside, dancing, with the Brighton air on your skin. The Concorde 2's terrace is one of the city's great summer venues, and this early-doors disco session from 6:00pm is pure joy before the night has even properly begun. Check the website for tickets and get there while the sun is still generous.

Idrîsî Ensemble: Live in Brighton — St. George's Church provides a breathtaking setting for what promises to be one of the most transporting musical experiences in Brighton this month. The Idrîsî Ensemble weave together traditions from across the Arab world and beyond, and hearing that sound swell through the arched stone of this beautiful venue at 6:30pm will give you genuine goosebumps. Tickets are £20–£30 and worth every penny.

Yoni Mayraz - Dogs Bark Babies Cry — Israeli singer-songwriter Yoni Mayraz brings his intimate, emotionally loaded folk to The Old Market at 7:00pm — an artist with a rare gift for making a packed room feel like a private conversation. At just £5 this is an absolute steal for an evening of genuinely affecting live music in one of Brighton's most characterful mid-sized venues. Do not sleep on this one.

The Secret Comedy Club Fridays — Tucked inside Artista Cafe and Gallery, this reliably brilliant Friday night comedy club keeps its lineup under wraps — which is precisely what makes it so fun. From 7:00pm you'll be in a warmly lit, intimate space with a drink in hand, discovering acts you'll be recommending to everyone by Saturday morning. Tickets are £18–£20 and the mystery is half the charm.

30 Years of Volks presents: Slipmatt — The Volks Nightclub is celebrating three decades of dancefloor history with a very special guest: Slipmatt, a genuine legend of UK rave culture whose name alone is enough to make a certain generation reach for their whistles. Doors from 9:00pm, tickets from £0–£10 — it's an absurdly good deal for a night that could easily go down in Brighton folklore.

City Wall x TRUNCATE — For those who like their Friday nights to stretch deep into Saturday morning, Tide Nightclub hosts City Wall alongside TRUNCATE — a pairing that promises uncompromising, driving techno in one of Brighton's most serious club spaces. It kicks off at 11:00pm with tickets at £10–£18, and if the dancefloor doesn't shake the walls then something has gone very wrong.
